We respond to approximately 21,000 calls per year ranging from lacerated fingers or cardiac arrests to water rescues and multiple alarm building fires. The types of calls vary from day to day making life interesting and rewarding for the dispatchers. When a life threatening call is received from 911, we send the closest fire truck as well as an ambulance with advanced life support capabilities. Each fire truck is equipped with state of the art life saving equipment including thermal imaging cameras and defibrillation units.
