For renewals, a vehicle state inspection is required once a year during the vehicle’s expiration month.  The expiration month can be found on your registration.

There is a ten-day grace period for inspection only, into the month following the expiration of your vehicle’s registration. 

For new registrations an inspection must be completed within 10 days following registration.

A vehicle state inspection can be completed 4 months prior to the expiration date listed on your registration.
