Ownership Changes/Final Billing Process
Ownership changes for water billing purposes are generally initiated by a title company or closing agent. The title company will contact us to get a final bill for the seller, at that time the new owner information is provided and a new account number is created. The water is not usually turned off when there is an ownership change of a property.
Any questions please contact us at waterbilling@manchesternh.gov
The final bill must be requested at least two (2) weeks before the closing date via e-mail at finalbilling@manchesternh.gov
The request must come from the clsoing company or attorney's office handling the sale of the property.
Information required to process a final bill:
- Closing date
- Final bill date
- Seller and Buyer names
- Where the final bill is to be sent (email)
- Mailing address and phone number of buyer
