Household Hazardous Waste Collections
Many everyday household products are considered hazardous. Hazardous waste should never be placed in the trash or poured down a drain. Hazardous waste is not collected curbside. If not disposed of correctly, these wastes can contaminate groundwater, damage sewer lines, and impair natural resources such as lakes and rivers. Residents may bring household products to one of the semi-annual collection events, held on the second Saturdays of May and October, allowing for safe, legal and free disposal.
